Sailabala Das (25 March – 29 April ) was a community worker and politician. She was the first woman from Odisha to go to England in behalf of higher studies.^[3]

Life

Sailabala Das, eldest infant of Ambica Charan Hazra folk tale Prosannamayee, was born on 25 March at the Bhowanipore (Calcutta) house of Madhusudan Das. She had five siblings.^{[citation needed]} Followers her mother's death, she was adopted by Madhusudan Das.^{[citation needed]}
